Before and after shots of Zeco's site

Schoolwear supplier Zeco is doubling the size of its current Romford site, with planning permission passed to increase the warehouse from 40,000 sq. ft to 80,000 sq. ft. The work, which is expected to start in 2026 and is forecast to be completed within 12 to 18 months, will see the addition of another floor to the current building as well as a two-storey side extension.

The extra space will allow Zeco to continue its organic growth as it has done since it was established in 1976, as company sales director, Ravi Taheam, explains. “As most people in this industry know, schoolwear requires a lot of space, which somehow never seems to be enough. We have outgrown our current building so this upgrade is definitely required. It also gives us the flexibility to introduce new lines in the future if we choose to do so, such as specialised sportswear.”
