Specialist clothing licensee, Poetic Brands, has added Miffy to the existing range of brands currently offering licensed T-shirts and mugs to raise money for the NHS during the Covid-19 pandemic.
In collaboration with retailer Pogo Group and printing company Fanela, Poetic Brands has launched the Help our NHS Heroes website to sell the ranges. It will donate 100% of the profits to NHS Charities Together.
Richard Cadell along with Those Licensing People were first on board to create a licensed range of Sooty mugs and T-shirts for the initiative. The design features a ‘thank you’ message along with the favourite characters from the evergreen property. After sharing the collection on the Sooty Facebook page, there was a 800% lift in sales.
Having launched with unlicensed ‘thank you’ designs initially, Poetic Brands and Pogo Group then teamed up with Haynes manuals, Original Stormtrooper and Thunderbirds. The most recent addition of Miffy further expands the collection available on the site.
The teams are now encouraging other brands to join and create new designs to raise funds for the charity. Any properties are welcome and don’t have to be previous or current partners.
Commenting is Anne Bradford, director of Poetic Brands. “Consumers really want to help raise funds and say thank you to the teams working tirelessly to help the UK through this challenging time. This merchandise is the perfect way to communicate that message while also raising valuable funds.
“The initial unlicensed designs were a huge hit and the licensed ranges are also going down incredibly well. The more brands we have on board, the more fans we can potentially reach and the more money we can raise for NHS Charities Together.”
