Natural Baby Shower, the award-winning retailer of ethical and eco-friendly parent, baby and toddler products, has moved to a brand-new BREEAM Standard HQ.
The 43,000 sq. ft headquarters – located just 500m from the current Bracknell base – includes new office and warehouse space. Plus, a new virtual shopping area, a car seat fitting drive-through service and designed room sets for filming. The newer, more energy-efficient building also features high-quality, sustainable furniture made from recycled materials where possible.
The 1.4-million-pound project was underway in July 2021, with a vision crafted by the commercial creative team at 3space UK. With just a short three-month window, the project took hours of work to be operational before the Black Friday period.
Co-founders Victoria Hampson and Clifton Vaughan were at the heart of the big move alongside the company’s team. All employees came together to help with the relocation. Both warehouse and office staff worked weekends to process company inventory and transfer stock onto new, improved racking units.
Natural Baby Shower is continuing to grow, hunting for new innovative brands and developing services for the optimum shopping experience.
Furthermore, due to the new warehouse’s spacious volume, Natural Baby Shower can house more products from its growing family of ethical brands. For instance, Joolz, Silver Cross and Nuna. This is alongside brands that have been with the business from the very beginning, such as TotsBots, Cuddledry, aden + anais and Merino Kids.
Natural Baby Shower has seen impressive growth over the last 18 months, increasing from 30 staff members to 75.
The new office area, which is located on the second floor, offers a spacious work environment. Highlights include collaborative areas, a kitchen/dining area and brand-new office appliances.
Despite the whirlwind of a journey over the last 14 years, the spirit of the business has never faded; still striving to deliver core values in providing the very best for parent, baby and the planet, as co-founder Victoria Hampson explains.
“Looking back on how it all started, we were new parents sitting in our small apartment overlooking Rangitoto Island thinking about the prospects of returning to the UK with our newborn. I wanted every parent to experience the same joy of shopping for baby essentials that I had in New Zealand.
“So, in 2007, from ‘the kitchen table’, Natural Baby Shower was born with a mission to create the same extra-special experience for every customer. As a brand, we’ve come a long way in 14 years; welcoming new faces to our ever-growing workforce and achieving some incredible milestones. Now, with our state-of-the-art HQ, we can’t wait to see what the future holds for the business.”
