Pair of orange baby booties by Pip & Henry

Sustainable children’s footwear brand Pip & Henry has extended its range to include booties and boots made with environmentally friendly materials.

Made entirely from off-cuts rescued from factories or discarded from other brands, the range of three different booties is ideal for repurposing these wasted materials. The lightweight, soft and flexible booties are made with premium quality materials including nubuck, goat suede and sheepskin. They also have an easy Velcro fastening and removable cushioned insole, allowing for adaptable length and width growth.

Grey furry baby booties

Pip & Henry’s booties come in three styles: a dinosaur print, the Shine Bright Star print and a soft Furry Friend style. Colours are grey, taupe, tan, blue and furry. The booties are suitable for babies, crawlers, pram-watchers and general movers. Sizes are 0-6 months and 6-12 months.

There is also a booties gift set in a reusable memory gift box. The set features a pair of booties and an illustrated copy of the brand’s book ‘Pip and Henry’s Shoe Shop,’ as well as a premium wooden teether.

New boots

Pip & Henry’s Chelsea boots are made from suede sourced from gold-certified tanners from the Leather Working Group (LWG). The sole, meanwhile, is recycled thermoplastic rubber (TPR) and cork. The boots are slip- and water-resistant and have a cushioned insole for comfort. They also feature a flexible elastic opening panel in two designs: Dinosaur and Spaceship. Colours are navy, mustard and rust and sizes are from UK7-UK13.

Pip & Henry’s existing range of hi-top sneakers are made using 80% environmentally friendly materials and have a zip up the side for ease. Organic cotton forms the upper and lining. The panels, meanwhile, feature a natural textile made from waste pineapple leaf fibre. This offers the look and feel of leather.

The sole is recycled Thermoplastic Rubber (TPR), which is lightweight, strong, weather and slip resistant. Designed specifically for small feet, the shoes leave room to move and grow so feet can develop naturally as opposed to conforming to the shape of a shoe.

Shoebox game

All Pip & Henry shoeboxes double up as an educational board game to help children learn about how they can help the environment. The shoeboxes also contain a foot measuring guide to monitor a child’s growth. All of Pip & Henry’s packaging is made from 100% recyclable materials.

Shoe recycling service

As part of its commitment to environmentally friendly and sustainable production, Pip & Henry offers a free and easy-to-use shoe recycling service. In return, customers get £10 off their next Pip & Henry order.

The old shoes are sent to a partner company, where they are responsibly stripped into their component parts. They are then repurposed for different uses, including playground surfaces and floor fillers.
