When the Independent Toy & Gift Show resumed its live format in September 2021, the much-loved industry trade show announced exciting plans to join the INDX group of exhibitions, rebranding to INDX Toys & Nursery for its return in 2022.

Fast forward six months and the team co-ordinating the show are on track to unveil an exciting two-day presentation when it arrives at Cranmore Park exhibition venue in Solihull on 6-7 April.

Commercially curated by experts and dedicated to meeting the evolving requirements of today’s retailers, the INDX group of trade shows is brought to market by leading UK buying group, Associated Independent Stores (AIS). The INDX portfolio – which covers 12 sectors across fashion and home – delivers over 20 business and buyer-focused shows per year.

As part of wider expansion plans alongside Sports & Leisure and Beds & Bedroom, Toys & Nursery is the latest show category to join the INDX group.

Rosie Marshall, Head of Toys & Children’s Gifts at AIS is looking forward to unveiling a fantastic show and introducing visitors to the exciting new category of nursery gifts.

“We are very excited to be joining INDX Shows,” says Marshall. “Rebranding to INDX Toys & Nursery has given us the perfect opportunity to explore new product categories. We believe adding nursery gift suppliers to our existing exhibitor mix will evolve the show. Introducing brands that specialise in nursery gift products, including accessories and soft furnishings, will provide visiting buyers with a more inclusive presentation.”

As the first point in the 2022 calendar where buyers can meet with leading toy suppliers, the April edition of INDX Toys & Nursery has secured an impressive exhibitor attendance.

The exhibitor line-up features global suppliers such as LEGO, Mattel, MGA, Character Options, Hasbro, Spin Master, Playmobil and Moose.

Following increased consumer demand for products made using green methods and from alternative materials, the theme of this year’s show will shine a spotlight on sustainability. Subsequently, visitors will enjoy focused merchandise displays featuring examples of these innovative eco-ranges.
