Founded in 2020, Swedish brand Nimble Patch creates sustainable and durable jeans for children with the aim of them being worn as many times as possible.

The brand has an agreement with two large recycling plants in Sweden from which it sources damaged children’s jeans. The jeans the brand buys are those that can no longer be sold second-hand. It then repairs them with Cordura, a reinforcement fabric 13 times stronger than regular denim, and in doing so, gives the jeans a new and long life.

 

 

The repairing and sewing of Nimble Patch jeans are carried out in Sweden by socially integrating organisations. The brand primarily works with Yalla Mellerud, an economic association to help women become employed and self-sufficient.

Nimble Patch’s main market is Sweden, where it sells from a selection of stores. However, it is now looking for additional stockists in the UK, Europe and Asia. The brand is also expanding its concept with new sustainable products made from old jeans, including accessories and bags.
