A baby's legs in white trousers sat in a basket with toys from the Oli & Carol x Bauhaus Movement collaboration

Oli & Carol, the natural toy brand from Barcelona, has launched a collaboration with the Bauhaus Movement. Founded in 1919 in Germany, the Bauhaus School became famous for its approach to design, which strived to combine aesthetics with everyday function.

The collection of four natural rubber sustainable toys comprises two teething rings and two floating blocks. The floating blocks have no holes, so they are safe for children to play with in the water. The geometric-shaped teething rings, meanwhile, are easy to hang as a pacifier holder and their shape is designed for children to easily hold.

The collaboration also represents an approach to Montessori education, as the brand expands its range to a wider audience.

The key principles of the Bauhaus Movement are based on geometry and abstract, combing aesthetics with everyday function. The brand’s mission with this collection is to bring art closer to kids. Also, to introduce them to basic colours and shapes.

All Oli & Carol x Bauhaus Movement designs are recognised as products that follow the Bauhaus movement, focusing on simplicity and functionality. The educational toys will help children develop fine motor skills and, at the same time, boost imagination and creativity.
