Stockport-based schoolwear supplier One+All has published its first Sustainability Impact Report following its B Corporation certification in August 2020. The Report showcases its longstanding commitment to sustainable practices and highlights its initiatives for people, community and the planet.

As part of B Corp certification, organisations must report annually on their impact on customers, colleagues, community, and the environment

One+All’s sustainability journey began with the introduction of a values-led culture in 2009. Following this was a transition to employee ownership in 2015, culminating with B Corp certification in 2020. To become a B Corp, organisations must achieve a minimum score of 80; One+All achieved a score of 107. There are over 5,000 B Corp businesses globally that share a belief that business can benefit the world and the people who live in it.

One+All’s sustainability actions include gifting water filter systems to overseas workers; paying the real Living Wage; addressing the cost of living crisis with tax-free payments to UK colleagues; switching to an Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) pension; reducing its overall carbon emissions by 28% in four years; introducing a Workers Participation Committee at a Bangladesh supplier factory; being a member of the Better Cotton™ initiative and ETI, and cementing its commitment to ethical supply chains and raw materials.

Commenting on the Report is Donald Moore, chair of One+All

“We hope our first Impact Report brings to life what we’ve done to show that we’re serious about sustainability. We’re accountable to all our stakeholders, so we’ve explained what we’ve achieved so far and our future goals. As we’re a work-in-progress, we’ve been honest about things we didn’t get right, too.

“Our Impact Report proves that caring for people and the environment are critical factors leading to strong business performance. It also reflects the huge contribution made by One+All colleagues to our success. With so much to gain, we hope other businesses will be inspired by our story to join the B Corp movement.”
