S/s 23 marks one of the largest collections for Pigeon, both in terms of styles and fabrics. Featuring 17 newly commissioned prints, it also includes coordinating yarn-dyed stripes, delicate seersucker, soft muslin and a fine ticking stripe. Plus, there is a new terry towelling range.

New prints include whales, crocs, curly snakes, peacocks and a floral. There is a re-release of the popular block print, too. As always, there is a yarn-dyed stripe to match each print. Styles include summer dresses; baby playsuits; painter pants; jersey shorts; and printed T-shirts. There are also new terry towelling polo shirts, shorts, hooded dresses and ponchos.

The micro adult collection.

Launched last season, the brand’s collection for grown-ups continues with the addition of some Breton T-shirts; seersucker house pants; terry polo shirts, as well as terry hoody beach dresses.

All of the fabrics in the collection use pure organic cotton. This means that purchases contribute towards improving the lifestyles of the farmers and their families, as well as protecting the environment.

The entire collection is also certified by GOTs (Global Organic Textile Standard), signifying that the supply chain is independently audited throughout to ensure strict social and environmental standards are met.

Commenting on the collection is Jane Shepherd, founder of Pigeon.

“We love designing and creating beautiful clothes. But we’re also excited by what we might call ‘social and environmental value added’. We continue to donate stock to several charities and are working on a new national initiative to try and send the spare stock that many brands have available to families who are in dire need.”
