Pippeta is a new online lifestyle store for children age 0 to 16, which includes an own brand childrenswear collection that is available wholesale. Co-founders Aimee and Giancarlo Cestrone launched the business in March, offering childrenswear, homeware, accessories, shoes and wall art.

Pippeta’s colour palette is key, with the childrenswear range having a strong focus on earthy shades. Pieces include babywear, tops, playsuits, dresses and skirts. Also, slacks, dungarees, jacket and short sets, knitwear and jog sets. The collection also features shoes, socks, wooden toys, bags and wall art.

Alongside its own brand, the website also stocks others – namely small, young labels.

These include Rue & Cole Skin Care, which is handmade in Leeds by a mother-of-two using organic and vegan ingredients. There is also children’s footwear by Ananas Petit, toys by Little Dutch and hair accessories by Norah’s Shop. In homeware, there is bedding and tableware by OYOY amongst others.

Commenting on Pippeta’s launch is co-founder, Aimee Cestrone. “Since having my two beautiful children, Mila and Gianluca, I have had a keen eye for childrenswear design and interior décor for their bedrooms.

“I have always known what I like but at times it’s not always been easy to source it. After months of research as well as experimenting with styles and designs, I decided the time was right to start my own business; a gathering of gorgeous homeware and clothing for our loved little ones.”

“We want Pippeta to be a place where other small brands can come together to give our customers a unique shopping experience.”

“So where does the name Pippeta come into it?” continues Cestrone. “When I met my husband his grandad Luigi became a massive part of my life, from his unending kindness to the love he showed us. Unfortunately, in 2012, he passed. However, his legacy and qualities are something that as a family we have tried to keep going in our own and our children’s minds.

“Due to his strong Italian accent (and memory in remembering my name), he referred to me as ‘Pippeta’, which to him was my nickname. It stuck and to this day means so much to me. So, we are carrying on that legacy by using the name for the company which, just like him, will be full of love, laughs, smiles and happiness.”
