Pitti Bimbo at Fortezza da Basso, Florence

Pitti Connect, the new and advanced digital platform to boost networking and business for Pitti’s trade fairs, will be available from the end of June.

Providing an essential tool to help relaunch the fashion industry, the platform will allow exhibitors across Pitti’s trade fairs to increase their visibility and activate business contacts in advance of the rescheduled September shows.

Pitti Bimbo will take place at Fortezza da Basso in Florence on 9-10 September 2020.

Pitti Connect will enable exhibitors to reach buyers and members of the trade. It will also support those not physically attending the fairs; for instance, by viewing collections through video calls or a virtual showroom.

Commenting on the platform is Pitti Immagine’s CEO, Raffaello Napoleone. “We know all about the priorities and the challenges that fashion companies and brands are facing at this time; at Pitti Immagine, we are experiencing the same ones.

“For over a decade we have believed and invested in web evolution with the launch of the first collaborations with the MIT in Boston and the inauguration of the e-PITTI platform, right up to the institution of the e-P Summit.

“In light of the profound digital transformation in progress that imposes innovative strategies for being competitive and looking to the future, we want to offer the very best existing technology with a new platform. An editorial layout that is rich in content, just like a regular magazine.”

Pitti Connect translates the selection, design, communication and spirit of the physical fairs into a digital environment.

Agostino Poletto, general manager of Pitti Immagine, adds: “Pitti Connect will make it possible for exhibitors not only to better communicate all facets of their brand identity but also have advanced functions for managing access to the marketplace and the order phase.

“In fact, we have decided to create a customized marketplace product in collaboration with specialist companies to maintain a direct relationship with the exhibitors and companies as well as to ensure high-quality standards and to control the entire process.”
