Ethical kids’ clothing brand Polarn O. Pyret is on the shortlist for this year’s Drapers Sustainability Award. The Drapers Awards recognise the top-performing and most innovative establishments within the business, identifying the best for marketing campaigns, store designs as well as sustainability.
Since launching its first collection in 1976, Polarn O. Pyret’s focus has been to make clothing that lasts. The brand’s first organic cotton range landed in 1987, far ahead of competitors. Today, Polarn O. Pyret continues to push the boundaries; from its 100% GOTS organic baby range through to the use of both recycled PET bottles and ghost fishing nets to make technical outerwear.
PO.P Repairs launches as part of the brand’s ongoing commitment to becoming even more sustainable.
This year also sees the introduction of PO.P Repairs, a free repair service to extend the life of the brand’s outerwear garments. The programme is available to all customers who have purchased any outerwear apparel – regardless of when they bought it. It offers a free repair service to fix zips and replace broken poppers on all outerwear garments.
Furthermore, it doesn’t matter if the garment has been worn by two or 10 children, the customer is still eligible for the scheme. They simply need to ensure they are a PO.P+ member, which is free to sign up to.
Reducing consumption is a key commitment for the brand.
