Sashe Christopher, owner and founder of Pop My Way

Sashe Christopher, owner and founder of Pop My Way, has been named as one of the UK’s most inspirational and dynamic female entrepreneurs by the f:Entrepreneur #ialso100 campaign.

Christopher founded Pop My Way – a sustainable baby clothing business with unique design features – in November 2019. She is now being profiled alongside 100 female entrepreneurs from across the country as part of the campaign to celebrate the multi-achievements of women running businesses in the UK today.

Delivered by Small Business Britain, the leading champion of small businesses in the UK, f:Entrepreneur was launched in 2017 to highlight the stories of female business owners; helping provide inspiration and role models across the wider small business community. The campaign also offers a host of events, training and networking opportunities to boost skills, capability and confidence.

The f:Entrepreneur ‘#ialso100’ line-up showcases trailblazing female founders who lead businesses alongside a roster of other responsibilities.
For instance, volunteering, mentoring and community support.

Many businesses in this year’s campaign also demonstrate a commitment to the environment by championing sustainability.

Christopher was highlighted for being an environmental champion, a mentor, an educator and for being passionate about passing on her knowledge and the important sustainability lessons she has learnt.

She founded Pop My Way to make life easier for parents. The range features mix-and-match baby essentials with unique interchangeable accessories that “pop” onto the garment. Attach collars, bibs or dummy/toy straps to the shoulder poppers on the bodysuits, cardigans or two-way zip sleepsuits. Lost socks are also a thing of the past thanks to the brand’s ankle poppers on trousers and socks.

Every item is also fully certified by the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS).

This means everything is measurably sustainable; from the harvesting of the cotton to the rights of the factory workers, through to packaging and even beyond with the introduction of circularity through the Pop My Way Preloved scheme. The pastel collection also uses certified organic Peruvian Pima cotton, so it is luxurious, soft and durable.

Commenting on the accolade, Christopher says; “I am so honoured and proud to be included on this year’s list and am grateful for the acknowledgement to allow me to help other businesses and consumers on their sustainability journeys. I really want to make a difference through Pop My Way and am really looking forward to meeting and connecting with the other founders.”

Michelle Ovens CBE is the founder of both f:Entrepreneur and Small Business Britain. Ovens is also the director of Small Business Saturday UK.
