Bella Diosa store image

Clare Cummins, a mum of three with a passion for fashion, launched Bella Diosa in 2018, initially focusing on Instagram. As interest grew, so did Bella Diosa’s platform.

Cummins built her own website and opened a pop-up shop in Liverpool’s Albert Dock before establishing a permanent store in Woolton Village, Liverpool. With demand for Bella Diosa continuing, Cummins opened her second retail premises in April 2021 in Hale, Cheshire.

“People’s shopping habits changed throughout the global pandemic, they want to shop locally and support small businesses,” she says. “This shift was a reason I wanted to bring a second Bella Diosa to the high street, allowing myself and my team to have face to face interaction with our customers.

Our products are premium and specialist, and our customer service matches that. It is the personal touch that keeps our customers coming back season after season.”

Chic and minimalist with a neutral aesthetic, the boutique caters for 0 to 12 years.

It is home to over 20 premium brands across childrenswear, shoes and accessories. These include Donsje Amsterdam, Marie Chantal, Freya Lillie and Tutu de Monde.

Part of Bella Diosa’s engagement with customers includes the hosting of biannual in-store events to showcase and preview the coming season’s collections. A month beforehand, Cummins shoots the collections and creates a look book for guests. This allows them to view and place pre-orders before the collections launch to the general public.

As well as two boutiques, Bella Diosa also sells via its website, where shoppers can use ‘buy now, pay later’ schemes to spread the cost of their purchases.

So, what’s next? “I would love to manufacture my own label where I could produce high-quality, elegant and timeless designs,” concludes Cummins. “A collection that could be passed down through the generations.”
