Lanigan & Hulme Junior is a brand-new kidswear store from the owners of premium men’s and womenswear independent, Lanigan & Hulme. Having collectively accumulated years of experience in retail, fashion and customer service, Philip Lanigan and Neil Hulme opened their independent men’s and women’s boutique in 2017 in Manchester, before relocating the business to the picturesque town of Knutsford, Cheshire in June 2023.

 

 

This April, following years of requests from their loyal customer base, the duo expanded the business with the addition of a kidswear boutique located at 53 King Street in Knutsford, just a short distance away from the flagship Lanigan & Hulme store. Focusing on the same core values as the men’s and women’s branch – namely a focus on premium British and Irish brands – Lanigan & Hulme Junior aims to bring a new quality childrenswear offering to the business’s customers.

 

 

Covering an age range of newborn to two years in babygros and playsuits, and from 3-12 years in boys’ and girls’ fashion, the current brand portfolio includes Rachel Riley, Kite, Hackett boys, Little Green Radicals and Grass & Air. For that added point of difference, a Lanigan & Hulme Junior own label will be introduced to the store for a/w 24, building on the already existing L&H label, which is made in Westport on the west coast of Ireland.

 

 

Following a successful launch, Philip and Neil are working to establish Lanigan & Hulme Junior and monitor its performance. Long-term aspirations for the business are to continue growing the Lanigan & Hulme brand, opening L&H family stores in affluent towns that facilitate and embrace independents.
