Following the latest edition of The Schoolwear Show, CWB brings you a selection of the most popular products for Back to School 2022.
One+All
Officially launched at The Schoolwear Show 2021, One+All schoolwear Eco Ties come in a wide range of striped colour combinations, lengths and fastenings. There are 55 striped colour combinations across wide stripe, narrow stripe and twin stripe styles, and three full-lengths – 39”, 45” and 52” – plus a 14” and 16” tie with clip, and a 10” tie with elastic. These are available from stock, so customers can order today and receive delivery the next working day.
In addition, One+All offers made to order Eco Ties. This enables customers to create a more bespoke tie that includes a customised combination of colours. It also offers jacquard ties that include a school logo. All the Eco Ties are made from 100% recycled polyester and are easy to care for with washing at 40 degrees.
Falcon Sportwear
The Schoolwear Show saw Falcon Sportswear present the new colourways it is introducing to its stock ZR38 legging, along with a new size – 42/44” – across all colours. The 90% polyester/10% elastane ZR38 legging, which complements Falcon Sportswear’s Encore, Spirit, Activ+ and Primary ranges, includes a performance fit, contrast calf side panel and flat waistband. The legging is available in a choice of 11 stock colours.
Charles Kirk
Charles Kirk’s Colour Plus X Micro-Fresh® Sweatshirts offer vibrant colours that will not fade. They are available in round neck, V-neck, cardigan and jogger styles. Each is infused with Micro-Fresh® to inhibit the growth and spread of bacteria whilst also being made from a minimum of 30% recycled fibres. The sweatshirts are available in up to 16 stock colours and can also be made to order in a wider range of colours upon request.
David Luke
Are your school shirts and blouses made using recycled plastic bottles? They can be now with David Luke’s twin pack Eco-Shirts and Blouses range. Each shirt or blouse contains 3.5 recycled plastic bottles; bottles that would otherwise end up in landfill. There is a style to suit all age ranges, including the new unisex Velcro shirt, making it easier for little ones to get themselves ready.
The packaging across the range is also 100% recycled content. Plus, it includes a QR code that takes customers on a sustainability journey whilst providing traceability of David Luke’s supply chain.
Banner
Banner’s Skinny Fit Trouser is brand new for 2022 and offers a contemporary, stylish silhouette. Made from 65% recycled polyester and 35% biodegradable viscose, this style is part of the company’s Eco range, with each garment saving up to nine bottles from landfill.
The new trousers are available in a choice of colours including black, charcoal, grey and navy, with an inclusive size range. Junior sizes span from a 24” waist to 28” and senior sizes range from 29” waist to 40” – all with a variety of leg lengths to suit every student. There is also an internal waist adjuster to allow the perfect fit. Like all Banner’s trousers, the Skinny Fit is fit for purpose and combines style with comfort in a design that stands the test of time.
William Turner
William Turner had a great response to its new range of metal (Therma) water bottles launched just before last year’s Back to School. And, after displaying a further array of designs at The Schoolwear Show in October, the company is increasing the range from 20 to over 50 designs.
The current range consists of a mix of bright and vibrant plains together with a wide selection of patterned designs. The new stock will include additional plains, camouflage patterns, florals, matt-ombre designs and also a mirror shine range, which received great feedback at the Show. This new stock will be available from February 2022.
Sold in singles, the bottles are 500ml and vacuum-sealed to keep drinks hot for 12 hours and cold for 24 hours. For retail, there is also a counter-top display stand available that holds 12 bottles. Plus, the bottles can be printed with a school or club logo – minimum 100 – with an approximate lead time of 12 weeks.
So, ‘Don’t forget to hydrate’ with William Turner’s TB21 Therma Bottles; a great, stylish add-on accessory to keep kids hydrated whilst also promoting a ‘bottle for life’ to help eliminate single-use plastic bottles.
1880 Club
Built for the classroom yet durable enough for the rigours of the playground, 1880 CLUB’s comprehensive range of schoolwear sees nearly 100 years of tailoring heritage evident in every garment. Key for the brand at The Schoolwear Show was its knitwear, which is available in a range of styles: V-necks, crew necks and cardigans.
1880 Club offers embroidered crests, special trims and braids, all with a fast, efficient stock service on core lines. There is also a large colour palette to choose from as well as various fabric compositions, from high-quality wool mix yarn to the next generation of anti-pill fibres. 1880 Club offers exceptional softness for maximum comfort combined with hard-wearing performance and warmth.
The Schoolwear Show will return to Cranmore Park Conference and Event Centre in Solihull on 9-10 October 2022. For further information and to visit the show’s website, please click here.
