Europe’s newest responsible sourcing show, Source Fashion, will take place at Olympia London on 16-18 July showcasing the first-ever Ethiopian and Filipino pavilions as part of a line-up that includes over 300 exhibitors from 30 countries.
Commenting on the upcoming show is Suzanne Ellingham, Sourcing Director at Source Fashion. “We are extremely excited to be welcoming manufacturers, designers and producers from 30 countries including new regions like Ethiopia, Mongolia and the Philippines to the show in July. Thousands of buyers and sourcing and procurement teams have already registered to attend knowing that Source Fashion is the only UK platform to offer such variety, assurance and newness.”
Connecting global manufacturers and suppliers to buyers who want the security in knowing every conversation could lead to a new range creation, Source Fashion is the gateway to retail for manufacturers and suppliers from across the world. From raw materials, fabrics, trims and packaging, to contract manufacturers offering in-house design services, the show brings the inspiration and tools together in one destination to bring new ranges to life.
Designers can delve into a world of newness looking at the latest designs, fabrics and accessories to draw inspiration from.
Sourcing and Procurement teams can meet with international garment manufacturers and discuss how to bring their range to life. Buyers can even go into the finer details, looking at trims and fixtures for finishing touches. Or start closer to the course and speak with yarn manufacturers to look at options for creating bespoke materials.
Fairs and More Inc, a subsidiary of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), brings Filipino fashion to the fore in the UK, showcasing the rich heritage, talent and forward-thinking nature of the region’s producers and artisans. With a mix of traditional fabrics, embroidery and patterns blended seamlessly with modern fashion trends, step into a world of vibrant colours, intricate designs, and boundless creativity as Fairs and More Inc presents Filipino companies that are championing creativity with sustainability.
Another UK first, the Ethiopian pavilion will welcome eight exhibitors.
Also in attendance will be Hela Apparel Holdings, which provides sustainable and ethical supply chain solutions to the world’s leading apparel brands. From design to delivery in kidswear, intimatewear and sportswear product ranges, Hela leads the industry in ethical and sustainable manufacturing practices.
Showcasing five well-established, responsibly focused Malagasy manufacturers, the Madagascan pavilion includes upcycled clothing for babies and kids from Azala (pictured). Having built a sustainable and responsible ecosystem to manufacture products and find innovative techniques to recycle and upcycle fabric scraps from textile factories, Azala designs padded and entirely upcycled clothing for babies and kids. International labels and certifications include Oeko-Tex, GOTS, Ecocert, and BSCI. Azala is also committed to supporting the reforestation of Madagascar by financing tree planting and the creation of agricultural cooperatives.
