Children’s fitted footwear expert Start‑Rite Shoes has a new partnership with Monkhouse, one of the country’s most established school uniform retailers. The collaboration introduces an in-store fit and order model across seven Monkhouse stores, giving families a simple way to choose the right school shoes ahead of the Back to School season, while enabling Monkhouse to offer a full footwear range without holding extensive stock.

The rollout brings Start‑Rite’s trusted school‑ready footwear to Monkhouse stores in Solihull, Crosby, Cheadle Hulme, Mold, Peterborough, Kingswood and Chatham. Customers visiting participating locations will benefit from an exclusive discount and free home delivery when purchasing Start‑Rite school shoes in‑store.

A streamlined, flexible fitting experience

The partnership delivers a modern, low‑stock retail model that still allows families to experience Start‑Rite shoes first‑hand. Each participating store will feature physical shoe samples and dedicated POS display, giving children the chance to explore the fit and feel of the collection before ordering. Monkhouse teams will also receive specialist training from Start‑Rite’s Brand Trainer, Callum Linger, ensuring staff can confidently advise on fit, growing room and style selection.

 

 

Families can choose between a full in‑store fitting service with a Start‑Rite trained fitter, or use the SizeWise digital measuring app. Once a style is selected, orders are placed via a unique QR code linking to a dedicated Start‑Rite microsite, with free home delivery and free returns, offering convenience without compromising on fit expertise.

The Start‑Rite school collection available through Monkhouse spans styles for younger and older children. Girls’ favourites include Emily (leather and patent), Charlotte patent, Bella patent, Impulsive patent and Star Jump leather.
