The Sustainability in Licensing Conference (SILC) will take place on 18 October at the Royal Geographic Society in London. Marking SILC’s first in-person event, the conference will also be available virtually, with content streamed live from London.

Organised by Products of Change (POC), the conference will span various critical areas including the supply of product to retail, new technology and future change goals. The conference is open to both POC members and non-members and is suitable for businesses including product suppliers, brand owners and retailers.

Discussions and panels will tackle some of the biggest topics of conversation in the sustainability movement today

Highlights include the latest consumer data and sustainability trends from across the globe from The Insights Family. The United Nations will also cover the benefits of aligning with the 17 Sustainable Development Goals and how it is partnering with businesses to drive awareness of this global framework.

Retail Economics, meanwhile, will impart its latest market data, focusing on key retail, shipping and sustainability themes as well as trends for 2022. Broadcaster and telecoms company, Sky, will reveal its initiatives to drive social and sustainable change through kids’ content, while The Marketing Store will cover what the Green Claims Code is, what new legislation is coming to support this, and how to avoid greenwashing.

There will also be an expert panel hosted by Kids Industries founder Gary Pope, who will take questions regarding the future of the children’s industry and how to become a driving force behind positive change.
