That Gorilla Brand launches swimwear collection made from recycled ocean plastics
Following its UK launch in May, That Gorilla Brand is introducing a 2020 swimwear collection made from recycled ocean plastics.
The collection offers a sustainable line of swimwear for men, women and kids. In terms of fabrics, the range features both SEAQUAL (reclaimed plastic from the oceans) and ECONYL recycled nylon. Furthermore, by collaborating with SEAQUAL, the brand is supporting ocean clean-ups in the fight against marine litter.
That Gorilla Brand boasts a range of clothing and accessories and values uniqueness, quality and design over profit; never forgetting the importance of giving back.
Founded in 2018 and based in Greece, the brand has one mission: to create something bigger than a fashion brand. Something that commits to making a positive impact on the world.
That Gorilla Brand’s aim is to give back to the gorilla, which also represents the three guiding values at the heart of the brand: strength, love and loyalty.
To honour the animal, the label supports The Gorilla Organization; a charity that works to protect gorillas’ habitats through projects of community-led conservation.
The brand donates €2 from every item it sells to the charity. Plus, each season it nominates one exclusive piece from its men’s, women’s and kids’ collections and gives 100% of the profits from these pieces directly to the cause.
