Two school pupils wearing unisex school blazers and uniform

As part of a strategy to provide innovative and eco-friendly school uniform solutions, The Direct Co Group / School Uniform Direct has introduced a unisex school blazer. Over 70 schools have already opted for the new sustainable design, which was released for this year’s Back to School season.

The unisex school blazer is not only environmentally friendly, being crafted from recycled polyester derived from plastic bottles, but is also economically savvy. Its versatile design allows it to be passed on as pre-loved clothing, regardless of gender, aligning with government guidance on second-hand school uniform.

Furthermore, the durability of the recycled polyester fabric ensures that the blazers will withstand the wear and tear of daily school life. This longevity minimises the need for frequent replacement, further reducing costs.

The unisex school blazer follows the introduction of unisex school shirts in 2022. Both garments have undergone meticulous research and development, focusing on fits and styles that meet the highest standards of comfort and durability.
