Specialist schoolwear retailer, Tru Uniforms, has won School Supply Store of the Year – Manchester & North West England 2021/2022 in the Prestige Awards.

The brand Tru Schoolwear was launched in 1991. The business has seen year on year growth and remains a heavy-weight player in the North West region, in particular in the school uniform realm.

Over the years, Tru Schoolwear has acquired several local businesses, in particular those with a school uniform presence. The business now stocks and supplies uniforms to over 150 schools and more than 30 corporate businesses.

The Corporate Livewire Prestige Awards recognise small and medium-sized businesses that have proven to be the best in their market over the past 12 months.

All shortlisted companies have to support their nomination with evidence of their work; positive feedback from their clients; information on previous accreditation and recognition; as well as highlighting the most outstanding parts of their businesses.

The judging panel bases its decisions upon areas such as service excellence; quality of the product/service provided; innovative practices; value; ethical or sustainable methods of working; and consistency in performance.
