Boatilus, the eco-conscious children’s footwear brand, has launched in the UK. Founded in 2000 by seventh-generation shoemakers Nicolas and Angela Pelous, it uses biodegradable, recyclable materials, avoids harmful chemicals, and adds recycled oyster shells to its soles, replacing up to 15% of traditional materials.
From the outset, Boatilus has championed eco-responsible design. Every pair is fully recyclable, as is the packaging, supporting a more circular approach to children’s footwear. Furthermore, materials are infused with natural lemon zest for antibacterial properties and freshness.
Introducing BoAtiland
Boatilus also has a new animated mini-series. Through storytelling, it introduces a world where living sandals, the BoAtilus, protect the planet through adventure, teamwork and eco-conscious values. Set in the colouful world of BoAtiland, the characters embark on missions to fight a villain threatening nature and the environment.
Each episode highlights key themes such as sustainability and recycling, protection of nature, friendship and teamwork, and positive action. A new episode will drop on the brand’s YouTube channel every week throughout May and June. For wholesale enquiries, contact jgm@jgmagencies.co.uk, or click here for further information.
