As the Children’s Show gears up for its fourth edition on 27-28 July 2025, CWB delves into the career background of its founder, Virginia Zingone, whose industry experience has been instrumental in establishing the trade fair as a prominent international destination for premium children’s fashion.
Virginia Zingone, founder of the international trade fair Children’s Show, comes from a well-known family of entrepreneurs in the children’s fashion world (Zingone), so you could say kids’ fashion is in her DNA.
Having started her career in the family business, gaining hands-on experience in retail, brand management and international sales, Zingone became Imports Manager and Partner for Carter’s & OshKosh Italia, bringing these iconic American brands to the Italian market. Later, she went on to launch her own label, Zingone.
Over the years, she has established a career centred on two fundamental aspects: connecting brands with buyers and expanding fashion businesses internationally. She founded Italian Kids Brands, the first Italian childrenswear showroom in New York City, and subsequently launched the Children’s Show, a flourishing industry event in New York that provides premium and contemporary kids’ fashion brands with an upscale platform to exhibit their collections.
Today, Zingone works closely with top brands, buyers, and media to create impactful fashion events that drive real business growth, engaging in international markets and fostering connections within the industry.
Children’s Show Summer 2025
Organised by IEG USA and set up by FB International, the Children’s Show has become a key fixture in the children’s fashion calendar. Having relocated to a new venue last season, the summer 2025 edition will take place at Chelsea Industrial, right in the heart of Manhattan’s exhibition district. With 20,000 sq. ft of exhibition space, buyers will have the opportunity to explore offerings from 60 brands representing leading markets including the USA, Italy, Portugal, France, Australia, the UK, Spain, Brazil, Sweden, Canada, Denmark and Germany.
Benefitting from the convenience of Chelsea Industrial’s ground-floor layout – chosen to make it easier than ever to explore the collections – Children’s Show will present a curated selection of brands showcasing the best in children’s fashion and lifestyle from around the globe. However, the Children’s Show is more than just a two-day event, with the trade fair demonstrating a year-round commitment to supporting its brands. From marketing advice to opportunities for participation in projects and its partners’ initiatives, Children’s Show offers a level of support that extends far beyond the show floor.
“Joining the Children’s Show is like becoming part of an exclusive club where your brand is celebrated and nurtured,” says Zingone.
One of the event’s highlights is its kids’ fashion show. In July, this exclusive runway styled by fashion show Art Director Aleksandra Ataca, will showcase designers presenting their s/s 26 collections, with curated looks highlighting the season’s most exciting emerging trends. Bringing this vision to life will be 40 top child models from across the USA and Europe, in what is set to be a truly global celebration of children’s fashion. Alongside the fashion runway will be industry talks, workshops with special guests and exclusive events, with further details available in due course.
Children’s Show prioritises supporting brands in building and strengthening their sales network before, during and after the show. As part of this, it offers tailored matchmaking, connecting brands with industry professionals who can review their collection through the show’s digital platform. Exhibitors simply join Children’s Show’s Networking Platform on Two To Tango, where they can upload their brand information and start scheduling appointments with buyers at the event.
