Launched in March, The Patchwork Parrot is a new family-run online business based in Hythe, Kent, created by husband-and-wife team Jemma and Aaron Hatton. As parents to four children, they wanted to create a shop that reflected the values that are important to their family – sustainability, ethical production, quality products that last, and encouraging imaginative play.
The couple created The Patchwork Parrot to bring together brands they genuinely love and use themselves, namely colourful, fun, practical products that are kinder to both children and the planet. The store specialises in organic children’s clothing, ethically made toys, and eco-conscious products for babies and children, including reusable nappies and accessories, with a focus on sustainable materials, ethical manufacturing and timeless quality.
Current brands include Little Green Radicals, Toby Tiger, Kite Clothing, Slugs & Snails, Bambooty, Lanka Kade, Wudimals, Koseli Handmade and The Striped Cat, with Mazomorra, Smafolk, Frugi and Duns Sweden also in discussion for future stock.
