What’s in store for this month’s INDX Kids?

CWB learns more about the upcoming edition of INDX Kids, which will present buyers with over 150 brands across children’s fashion, footwear and accessories.

Visitor registration is open for the much-loved industry trade show INDX Kids, which is set to return to its West Midlands venue of Cranmore Park Exhibition and Conference Centre on 29-30 January 2023. As part of the INDX brand of trade shows − which celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2023 − INDX Kids is organised by
Associated Independent Stores (AIS), the UK’s leading buying group for fashion, home and leisure.

With the strapline ‘by buyers, for buyers,’ and unique to the market, INDX Kids is curated by a team of retail experts whose knowledge and experience combine to ensure visitors to the show enjoy the latest trends from a commercial edit of exhibitors.

With an inclusive product offer covering clothing, footwear and accessories, INDX Kids showcases the largest selection of kidswear brands in the UK, with a focus on leading lifestyle ranges and sustainable collections

“At INDX Kids we’re an extremely passionate team focused on connecting preschool and kidswear retailers with the best brands in the business,” says AIS childrenswear buyer, Annmarie Collie-King. “It’s a great time to be a kidswear buyer because there’s so much newness in the industry, and we’ve sourced some fantastic brands to unveil at the next show. We’re continuing the expansion of our footwear category, and we’re also proud to be offering a platform to more new and emerging labels. We’re working hard to ensure the January 2023 edition has everything today’s kidswear stockist needs.”

Also commenting is INDX Kids event organiser, Varsha Chohan. “As we approach the 10-year milestone of the INDX brand, we would like to take this opportunity to thank the industry for its continued support. We have many exhibitors that have been with us from day one. With their collaboration, combined with the input from countless new suppliers we’ve introduced over the years, we have evolved the show to become what it is today, a staple in the kidswear buying calendar.”

The brands

The list of confirmed exhibitors to date features a host of newcomers. These include Babydif, Baked Clay Kids, Cua Cuak, Ducky Zebra, Eve Children, LEOKING, Little Prince London, Luca and Rosa London, Petit Voyageur, Adriana Mae, Kusi Kusi, Plumas, Piecci and The Gilded Bird.

Meanwhile, the footwear category includes key returning brands such as Petasil, Early Days, Baypods, Mercredy, Egos, Natural World, Slipfree and Biomecanics. This is in addition to welcoming debut appearances from TT Kids, Primigi, Borboleta, Fofito, Goodwear Shoes and Fairground.

Furthermore, the January 2023 show will introduce the Stand Out Competition, whereby exhibitors will receive points for their stand design across various categories. For instance, overall concept and creative use of space, innovative visual merchandising and display ideas, and also conscious use of props that takes sustainability and reuse into account. Judged by Laura Turner, owner and editor of CWB Magazine, and James Crabtree, head of fashion at AIS, the winner of the Stand Out Competition will be announced at the show at 5.30pm on Sunday 29 January.

A must-visit for all children’s stockists and the industry’s key order writing show, INDX Kids provides a friendly, business and buyer-focused environment, and an unmissable opportunity to source new products and suppliers as well as network with like-minded retailers.

INDX Kids is free to attend and open to all retailers. Onsite parking is free, and visitors can also enjoy complimentary barista coffee and refreshments, plus free breakfast pastries. Cranmore Park Conference and Event centre is home to all INDX Shows, conveniently located in Solihull, West Midlands. It is close to both rail and road links and is just minutes from J4, M42.
