Great North Air Ambulance Service (GNAAS) will once again be the chosen charity of schoolwear supplier Winterbottom’s.

GNAAS, which is not NHS-funded, brings pioneering pre-hospital care to the scene; rescuing hundreds of severely injured or ill patients every year.

The schoolwear business, which raised a grand total of £716.30 for the life-saving charity in 2019, will continue its work to support GNAAS throughout 2020.

“Winterbottom’s is extremely proud to support such a fantastic charity and will continue to raise funds for the GNAAS throughout 2020.”

In August 2019, Winterbottom’s made a donation of over 1,000 items of surplus garments to help raise funds for the charity. It also held a series of fundraising events throughout the year.

Winterbottom’s plans to donate additional clothing to the charity early this year. Not only will this give the clothing a new lease of life; it will also help to minimise the impact that the clothing industry is having on the environment.
