Young Soles, the award-winning luxury children’s footwear brand, will be launching its a/w 22 collection at Moda on 6-9 February. The collection stays true to the brand ethos of evoking childhood memories by wrapping up warm and bedding down for the winter.

Young Soles founder and creative director, Louise Shill, comments on the new season.

“As a kid, I loved the time of year when autumn falls into winter and the temperatures plummet. My parents would get our winter clothes and fur-lined footwear out to wrap us up warm before venturing outside, and when we returned, drown us in big knit blankets before curling up in front of a roaring fire.

“But my most favourite time of the year as a kid is when it snowed. There is something magical about waking up to a blanket of snow covering your world. We would crowd around the radio to see if school had been closed by this amazing act of nature and burst from our house to play all day; regardless of how cold you felt, making sure you took full advantage of this infrequent weather occurrence.

 

 

“The colours for our latest collection have been inspired by dusk during winter-time, where colours in twilight become soft and gentle and where the wonder of nature creates a beautiful frost-coating that echoes the moonlight.”

New styles for the a/w collection come “snow and cold-weather ready.”

Starting with new wool-lined versions of two favourite styles, Fletcher fur monkey boots and Heidi fur clogs. Also new for this season is Peak, a retro-inspired waterproof wool-lined snow boot on a lightweight EVA sole. Making a return following a two-year absence, meanwhile, is Smithy, a wool-lined lace-up hiking boot with an inside zip on the brand’s signature EVA sole.

Plus, this season sees a whole new collection of barefoot styles. Holly, a Mary Jane shoe with heritage brogue punch detail; Lark, a high-ankle T-bar shoe with retro punch detail; Nova, an elasticated shoe steeped in nostalgia; Oliver, a Velcro-fastening simple shoe; and Logan, a classic Chelsea boot with heritage brogue punch detail.

All styles feature Velcro fastening, uppers made from the finest leathers, and a custom-made zero-drop sole, adding another choice for early walkers and growing feet. To visit the Young Soles website, please click here.
