Rebekah and Simon Davies launched Rebel Petal children’s boutique in February as a long-term project to work on together. Plus, with four children, the couple has a lot of knowledge to share.

Rebel Petal offers heritage, contemporary and organic clothing from 0 to 10 years. Key brands include Aurora Royal, Toby Tiger and Little Green Radicals. Also, Little Lord and Lady, Vinrose and Hatley.

The website is designed to reflect the quality and variety of products as well as being engaging and user-friendly.

“We have been planning on the business for a while,” says Rebekah Davies. “We wanted to work together on a project that we could make longer term plans for – including our children over time. Having four children means we’ve bought a lot of clothes and toys and ultimately know what we want from them.

“We buy for different purposes at different times and we understand that other families do, too. For instance, a gift for a new baby; an outfit for a social occasion or event; beachwear; or ‘just because’ buys.

“We also know that clothing needs to be more than throw away in current climates and have sought out ranges that encompass these values. We also strongly believe in the children loving the clothes as much as the parents.”

The store’s toy range specialises in Baby Stella from Manhattan Toy Company alongside lifestyle and stationery accessories from Tinc.

Growth areas for Rebel Petal include an own-brand range of organic clothing featuring bespoke prints designed in-house. The first collection is a legacy to the couple’s little girl, Tulip. It will be a charitable range with 4Louis, which supports anyone affected by miscarriage, stillbirth and child loss. In time, plans are to wholesale the ranges to boutiques and small businesses.
