Local community members recently brought their dogs to assist in a new promotional campaign for Sheffield-based crayon company Bambino. After reaching out to the people of Crookes over social media, Bambino saw a host of locals and their dogs step up to support the small business.
The puppies were invited to star as the models in a photoshoot with Bambino’s crayons to create promotional material. The campaign features the dogs of Crookes posing alongside towers of crayons.
The idea behind the campaign was to create a promotion that would be eye-catching enough to compete with the bigger budgets of rival companies whilst involving and engaging with the local community.
Bambino also wanted to draw attention to the positive effects of colouring and having a pet dog on mental wellbeing. The campaign received such a positive response that the business even had to decline some of the volunteers due to limited space.
Kat Brennan, Bambino CEO and Sheffield resident was amazed at the number of people willing to support the fledgling business.
“It’s so fantastic to see our community engage and support us like this,” she says. “We really think together we can spread the word about our amazing crayons. We are so thankful to the people and puppies of Crookes for showing up to help with this photoshoot; it really shows how engaging with your community can make a difference.”
Trading for only three months, the company specialises in clay crayons and colouring books for both children and adults. For further information, please click here.
