Here are some of our brand highlights from the a/w 26 edition of Playtime Paris, the biannual kids’ trade show held at Parc Floral in Paris.
Jelly Mallow
A premium South Korean kidswear brand founded in 2013, Jelly Mallow (pictured above) is renowned for its bold, colourful and contemporary designs featuring comfortable, oversized silhouettes. Offering sizes from 2–3 years up to 10–11 years, covering heights of 90cm–160cm, it takes inspiration from children’s imaginations, blending ideas of jelly and marshmallow. Designed to be loved by both children and mothers, the playful and witty designs bring comfort and happiness to kids. The brand continues to grow and now enjoys success worldwide. For a/w 26, it celebrates “Happiness” with a collection that offers a diverse range of materials and textures across items such as outerwear and denim, all rooted in Jelly Mallow’s signature colour palette. Instead of previous bold all-over prints, the focus has shifted to “one-point art,” using various expressive techniques such as raw-edge cutting, washing and fabric appliqués. This move allows the brand to appeal to a broader age range while also maintaining its unique design identity. We love the vintage colour palette and fun, characterful motifs.

Bianca&Noè
Bianca&Noè, founded in Northern Italy by Erika Di Rocco, designs artisanal-inspired collections for boys and girls aged 2-9 years. Combining minimalist, artistic and refined design with natural materials highlighting comfort and sustainability, its oversized silhouettes, clean lines and precise details reflect a modern yet timeless aesthetic, blending tradition with contemporary art and craftsmanship. The collections promote versatility, functionality and gender-neutral styles, supporting longer garment life through reuse, while high-quality, traceable, biodegradable and chemical-free materials from top Italian producers ensure environmentally and socially responsible production. The brand pioneers the use of eco-friendly textiles such as hemp, Icelandic seaweed, mint, nettle and Tencel, which retain beneficial properties for sensitive skin and are regarded as healing. A historic manufacturer in the heart of the Marche region, which continues to safeguard millinery secrets for generations, crafts the brand’s new accessory collection, featuring pure wool beanies, gloves and scarves. For a/w 26, the theme is The Wild Pony Opera, a creative blend of jersey and woven styles with seasonal prints and whimsical horse embroidery. Alongside the genderless styles, details such as chiffon ruffle collars, yokes, skirts and bubble hems add a fashionable touch for girls. We love the unisex styling, and the elongated-cord overshirt is a favourite.

C’era Una Volta
C’era Una Volta is an Italian premium kidswear label launched in 2017 by founder and designer Emanuela Nurra and Paola Talamini Minotto, created for children from newborn up to 16 years. Born in Shanghai and inspired by a lack of styles for Nurra’s daughters, the brand combines Italian heritage, Sardinian tradition and vintage, handmade aesthetics with soft, sustainable fabrics. The a/w 26 collection, Gliding Through Time, captures the spirit of Rome and the enchantment of an endless journey through the ‘eternal city’. The colour palette draws from the silent magic of the Sistine Chapel: soft powdery shades, pastel skies and touches of gold reflected in garments that seem suspended in time. Silhouettes are both light and graceful; pleated tulles flow like frescoes, or white ceremonial dresses delicately woven with golden threads, echoing Renaissance motifs. Also finding poetry in everyday life: a cinematic Rome seen through sun-drenched afternoons and polaroids of unforgettable holidays. We love the ethereal, watercolour-painted, striped chiffon layered dresses.

Mabli
Based in Cardiff, Wales, Mabli was founded in 2016 by designer Lisa Roberts to create beautiful, natural knitwear for both children and adults. Over the past 10 years, the brand has become a go-to for slow fashion, characterised by an eclectic and vintage-inspired aesthetic. The Mabli signature style features iconic heritage Welsh blanket patterns reimagined in knitwear, alongside core rib-knit essentials, whimsical jacquards, and more. Using high-quality yarns such as extrafine merino wool and organic cotton, the company collaborates with trusted, ethical suppliers in Wales and around the world. The 10th anniversary collection, titled The Curiosity Shop, provides an opportunity to reflect on the past decade and develop a collection that combines all the brand’s favourite elements. The theme of collecting treasures at the curiosity shop aligns with Mabli’s core principles of retro style, nostalgia and heritage, together with a playful touch of randomness. The colour palette is rich, warm and earthy, and full of texture, pattern and softness in natural fibres. The brand revives some beloved past designs and combines them with new pieces, creating a collection that celebrates a decade of its history. We love the rich colour palette and seamless blending of woven and knit styles, and, of course, this season’s amazing jacquard knit is a highlight.

BeneBene
BeneBene is the signature childrenswear brand from Seoul-based Oui BeneBene Co. Ltd, which also owns Bonbou, a premium organic skincare line, and Maison Bornne, a lifestyle brand that creates nursery and bedding products, including a beautiful range of printed fabrics in collaboration with international artists. Established in 2014, BeneBene has steadily expanded across South Korea, now operating 40 bricks and mortar stores nationwide. Characterised by its neutral palette and poetic, refined design, its vintage-inspired collections utilise both heritage materials and delicate details for newborns (0-12 months), babies (12-24 months), and toddlers (3-8 years). For a/w 26, the collection maintains its pared-back aesthetic, featuring classic pieces such as motif knits given a contemporary twist. Soft woven cottons in classic melange and fine pinstripes soften darker shades. We love the brand’s thoughtful collaborations with illustrators, textile designers and other craftspeople.
