Banner’s sustainability strategy inspires CBI South West Finance Directors Network
On Thursday 10 February, Sarah Robins, Banner’s Sustainability Manager, was invited to attend and provide an expert case study at the CBI South West Finance Directors Network.
Hosted by its strategic partner Foot Anstey in Bristol, attendees were brought together to discuss how the pandemic has impacted organisations and brought forward a greater need for sustainable businesses.
Hearing from a broad range of sectors and sizes of businesses, attendees explored the opportunities and complexities of implementing ESG strategies to satisfy the needs of a myriad of stakeholders, including owners, employees, customers, lenders, regulators, media and pressure groups.
Robins discussed the success of Banner’s strategy to put sustainability at the heart of its business plan.
Attendees were inspired by the company’s journey to date and ambition for the future. In sharing practical insight and learnings, Robins hoped to spark ideas for others to implement in their own sustainability strategies.
Sara Tomley, Deputy Director of CBI South West, says; “Increasing sustainability is a key priority for all businesses in the years ahead, and Banner’s proactive commitment is commendable. Banner’s approach demonstrates best practice by considering not just the environmental aspect but also social value.”
Banner’s mission is to support schoolwear retailers in their businesses.
It does this not only by supplying quality and value products but through a vast range of resources. Sarah Robins has played a key role in providing retailers with sustainability guidance in implementing their strategies and communicating progress with their customers and all stakeholders. By continuing to share its sustainability progress and achievements, Banner hopes to inspire change within organisations and the wider industry.
