GrowGrows, a UK brand of children’s bamboo and organic cotton sleepwear for newborn to 6 years, has officially become B Corp Certified. Reinforcing the company’s commitment to sustainability and social responsibility, GrowGrows protects rainforest trees with every order and has protected over 40,000 trees to date.
Additionally, the brand has recently completed a significant seed investment round with prominent UK retail investors. These include John Ayton MBE, co-founder of Links of London and Annoushka. Plus, SFC Capital, the UK’s leading seed investor, including an allocation from BBI (an investment arm of the British Business Bank) Regional Angels Programme.
The brand’s garments incorporate sustainably sourced fabrics and innovative features.
GrowGrows’ sleepsuits, for instance, include clever features such as built-in fold-over socks. This allows the sleepsuit foot to be worn open, and as a baby grows in length quicker than width, it extends the wear of the item. GrowGrows’ smart sleeping bags, meanwhile, replace the need for multiple sleeping bags. The one-size adjustable sleeping bag lasts from newborn to 2 years.
Pieces also feature artistic and playful print designs created by independent British print artists. Working together, GrowGrows commissions concepts and ideas which the artists bring to life. GrowGrows then carries these exclusive print designs onto its range of sleepsuits, pyjamas, sleeping bags, hats and bibs.
Commenting are GrowGrows’ founders, Joe Devereux-Kelly and Eddie Whittingham.
“We are humbled by the support from our investors and are excited about the positive change we can continue to make in the industry. Achieving B Corporation Certification reinforces our mission to change an industry built on high consumption, throwaway garments. We are eager to continue bringing more environmentally friendly sleepwear options to families across the world.”
