Organic children’s clothing company Frugi is doing Black Friday differently this year, with the aim of helping as many children as it can with a ‘Buy One & We Donate One’ campaign. The sale, which runs from 21-29 November, will see Frugi reduce its prices by up to 40%.

Furthermore, for every item customers purchase at sale price, Frugi will donate an item to the charity Clemie’s Clothes. An arm of registered charity Sal’s Shoes, Clemie’s Clothes rehomes pre-loved items to families who need extra support.

Commenting on the initiative is charity founder, CJ Bowry

“We are so thrilled to be working with Frugi as its UK and European charity distributor for this amazing initiative. Sal’s Shoes works with over 200 baby banks, community organisations, women’s refuges and family hubs nationwide to tackle soaring child poverty levels. Periodically we distribute large donations of children’s clothing in addition to shoes under the banner of ‘Clemie’s Clothes’.

“We are delighted that Frugi’s incredibly generous donation of thousands of items of clothing will find very deserving homes with families in need via our distribution network; getting straight to the families who need them most. This donation will make such a huge impact on families struggling to survive in the current cost of living crisis, here in the UK and Europe.”

Frugi has a longstanding relationship with Clemie’s Clothes. It has previously donated items through the charity to several baby banks across the UK. Having donated over £1 million to various causes, Frugi is always mindful of the charities it works with, ensuring donations go to those who need it most.

Also commenting is Frugi’s founder, Lucy Jewson MBE

“Frugi’s sale this year is a great opportunity for its customers to not only grab a bargain for themselves but also, in doing so, help those who may not otherwise be able to afford new clothes for their children right now.”

Clemie’s Clothes will be welcoming the donations and distributing them as soon as possible. The aim is to ensure children have adequate clothing as the wintry weather arrives.
