Little children sat on kitchen table

UK fashion trade exhibition Moda is placing a spotlight on kids’ footwear with the launch of a new Little Soles section. Making its debut at the February 2020 show, the new kids’ area is in response to increasing interest in Moda Footwear from children’s brands.

Taking place on 23-25 February at Birmingham’s NEC, buyers can expect to see a host of dedicated children’s footwear brands within the Little Soles zone. This is in addition to brands offering kids’ shoes alongside their women’s and men’s footwear.

Brands confirmed within Little Soles include Froddo, Old Soles, Primigi (pictured above), Superfit, Ricosta, Shoesme, Young Soles, Salamander and Petasil.

Throughout the rest of the footwear hall there will also be brands and distributors showing kids’ footwear as part of their wider offerings. These include XTi, Ipanema, Skechers kids, CROCS kids, Rider and Zaxy. Also, Grendha, Roamers, GOOR, Route 21, DEK, US Brass and Boulevard.

Offering a fun, experiential vibe, the new kids’ area will also include its own Little Soles Café and play area.

Commenting is Lisa Govier, footwear director at Moda. “We are delighted to launch the Little Soles sector. It will offer kids’ footwear brands a dedicated space to shine a light on their collections.

“We’re confident that buyers will love the new zone and the playfulness and energy we will create with the café and play area.  With 26 kids’ footwear brands already showcasing at Moda Footwear, and over 130 footwear brands in total, this is an area of real focus for us. We couldn’t be happier with how much interest we have had so far.”

Moda’s revamped footwear hall will present the industry with the ideal environment for buying, networking, trends and inspiration.

Also commenting is, Mark Collins, European sales manager of Old Soles. “I come back to Moda every season. It is one of the best children’s footwear shows in Europe and retailers visit from all across the UK; it is the focal point of our industry.”
