Soil Association white cotton

The Soil Association is to host a panel discussion and networking event to discuss organic cotton as a sustainable fashion choice.

Those involved in organic and fashion retail, including brands, retailers, academics and also NGOs, will all be in attendance at the event.

Topics will include the growth of the UK organic textile market.

A keynote from industry representatives will assess the place of organic in sustainable textiles. There will also be a case study from a brand increasing its organic range. Meanwhile, a panel discussion will address how access to organic cotton can be improved.

Finally, delegates will also be privy to highlights from the Soil Association’s upcoming report on the impacts on water when switching to organic cotton.

The event will take place on Monday 30 September 2019 from 3-5pm. The venue is the Cocktail Bar at The Devonshire Club, 5 Devonshire Square, Spitalfields, London EC2M 4YD.

If you are interested in attending, please contact Sarah Jupp at Soil Association Certification on sjupp@soilassociation.org. For further information on the Soil Association please click here.
