Rosalynde Stone introduced her colourful, organic childrenswear brand Pickbu in 2018. Formerly a theatrical dressmaker, she transferred her skills − initially to make her twin sons’ clothes − before launching the childrenswear business online.

Today the brand’s offer includes an extensive selection of T-shirts, shorts and leggings, which are now available to order wholesale via Faire, Creoate and also Ankorstore. Sizes are for younger children and range from 18-24 months up to 5-6 years.

New prints this summer take inspiration from the tropics, with exotic birds including toucans, flamingos and ostriches. The brand’s Story Time collection, meanwhile, sees the addition of a new rainbow caterpillar − a homage to The Very Hungry Caterpillar.

“Pickbu clothes are made for living in,” says Stone. “For scrambling on rocks, climbing trees, cartwheeling and bouncing around. Kids, like dancers, are not kind to their clothes. They need to be easy to throw on and completely machine washable.”
