PO.P (formally known as Polarn O. Pyret) has unveiled its latest exclusive design collaboration featuring illustrations from Tove Jansson’s beloved stories of the Moomins. The partnership is part of the celebration of Moomin’s 80th anniversary in 2025 and marks the first of two collection releases: part one is due to release in November 2024 and part two in spring 2025.
Tove Jansson’s stories of Moominvalley have touched many around the world. With her inclusive and loving philosophy, she invites both children and adults to discover a world where all emotions are allowed and welcomes them into a home where the door is always open.
Now, Tove Jansson’s treasured tales feature on PO.P’s clothing in an exclusive and limited collection.
The design collaboration consists of everyday wear for children, including sweatshirts, long-sleeve tops and leggings, stripe bodysuits and leggings with Moomin appliques. Plus, nightwear for babies, children and adults. Additionally, the collection features a colourful adult dressing gown, a tote bag and a blanket. All items feature illustrations and characters from the Moomin stories and are made from soft organic cotton.
With this collaboration, PO.P aims to encourage the idea of “passing it on,” which is based on its core vision that its clothes are made to be inherited and worn by three children, at least. Commenting is Martina Wernemar, Product and Brand Director at PO.P.
“We are incredibly proud to collaborate with Moomin, whose beautiful stories of love and friendship align perfectly with PO.P’s core values. We hope this collection will be loved by both children and adults and inspire everyone to pass it on – clothes, memories, and good values.”
The Moomin collaboration collection will be available this November exclusively via PO.P’s website.
