Did you know that in the very first Moomin illustrations used for commercial purposes, the Moomin characters looked like this – in colour? They were originally created exclusively for Stockmann in Helsinki and NK in Stockholm in 1956. Since then, they have only been seen in white – until now.
Following the successful first release of PO.P’s exclusive Moomin collaboration last autumn, the brand is presenting the second part of the design collaboration in celebration of Moomin’s 80th anniversary. This spring, the next chapter follows, and this time with a unique detail: PO.P has been granted the right to use Tove Jansson’s characters in colour on its children’s clothing.

The second drop of PO.P’s collaboration is an eye-catching and colourful summer shop. Spanning three categories – everyday playwear, nightwear, and UV swimwear – the collaboration offers new Moomin Play artworks, with designs featuring Moomins coloured in blue, pink and yellow.

Within everyday playwear, the collection features soft, play-friendly tops, dresses, sweatshirts and shorts. Adults can also join in with the Moomin magic with matching nightwear for baby, children and adult, including child and adult bathrobes.
Lastly, the UV swimwear injects a bright pop of colour with all-over Moomin prints. The range includes swim tops, shorts, a swimsuit and a swim nappy, with the collection offering UV protection with UPF50 blocking 98% of the sun’s harmful rays.
