TurtledoveLondon AW20 collection

The new a/w 20 collection by Turtledove London sees the organic childrenswear brand take inspiration from 90s Manchester and the city’s music, fashion and design scene.

The industrious city is captured in the iconic paintings of Lowry and it is Lowry’s art that inspires both the colour pops – steel, brick, stone and honey – and imagery for the brand’s prints including Matchstalk Cats and Dogs and 3 Cats.

With Manchester being known for having the most rainfall in Britain, the label’s Mr Bear has been reinvented for another season in a No Rain, No Rainbows print.

The Worker Bee is the symbol of Manchester as a sign of industrious unity. Subsequently, Turtledove London’s Honey Bee Print can be found on many new products for both boys and girls.

Meanwhile, the Happy Faces print reflects the friendly nature of Mancunians; a fun pattern on GOTS certified organic sweatshirt fabric. A new Superstar print also reflects 90s Manchester being the centre of the club and Britpop music scene.

Elsewhere, adding a retro sports twist to on-trend leisurewear is Legend jacquard, which is both comfortable and cool. All fabrics are in GOTS certified organic cotton and include further options on cord to sit with the jersey and sweat-based pieces.

Checks and stripes also remain important for the season whilst reversible fabrics provide two looks in one; ideal for a minimalist, eco-friendly wardrobe.

Turtledove London offers investment pieces as an antidote to the fast fashion process.

To further enhance the brand’s sustainable credentials it is introducing an edited collection of ‘Forever Loved’ pieces. These new modern classics in organic rib fabrics are suitable to wear year-round; supporting the move towards seasonless dressing.

No need to markdown at the end of the season, these hard-working pieces are available in contemporary colours to complement past, present and future collections.

Customer demand has also resulted in a larger selection of baby pieces. Ideal for eco-friendly gifting, the items are kind to delicate skin as well as the environment. Co-ordinating blankets, bibs, bonnets and rompers from 0-6 months all feature.
