Founder of Yummikeys with her 3 children

Elspeth Fawcett, founder of eco-friendly toy company Yummikeys, is working to support key causes during Covid-19 as well as bringing a little extra joy to customers.

For the foreseeable future, Yummikeys will donate 5% of all profits directly to For the Love of Scrubs and Women’s Aid. For the Love of Scrubs is a fundraiser to help address the current supply shortage of scrubs for frontline NHS staff. Women’s Aid is a charity that works to end domestic violence against women and children.

Furthermore, from this month, each of the brand’s orders will include the addition of five sunflower seeds. Customers can plant the seeds either inside or in gardens across the UK.

Commenting is Elspeth Fawcett. “I really want to do something to help spread a little happiness and joy over the coming weeks; I appreciate that this is such a difficult time for everyone. So, I have chosen to add sunflower seeds to all of our orders as this is something that everyone can enjoy; even those who are not fortunate enough to have gardens.

“It’s lovely seeing all of the rainbows in peoples’ windows. But, we can only enjoy these for the short time that we are out exercising each day. My intention is for these sunflowers to be enjoyed for the rest of the time we are at home or in our gardens.

“Also, I am donating 5% of all of my profits over the coming months to support For the Love of Scrubs and Women’s Aid. I’m a small business working hard to overcome the challenges that coronavirus has placed on all of our lives. However, I feel this is the right thing to do, as my donation will hopefully help those who need it most right now.”
