Yellow red and blue dungarees by Babipur on hangers

Leading ethical childrenswear brand Frugi and fair trade retailer Babipur have launched their first joint capsule collection for children with “overwhelming success and already loved by Babipur customers,” says Frugi European Business Director, Simon Dowling.

With six lines curated exclusively for Babipur, the synergy of brand values underpinned by their long-standing relationship has been met with a significant nod of approval from customers. Featuring GOTS certified organic cotton, the unisex range includes a cord dungaree in three bright colours. There is also a matching top and leggings in an exclusive Babipur print and a twinning top for adults.

Frugi + Babipur Collection

The organic cotton Frugi + Babipur cord dungaree features the red Babipur elephant applique on the front pocket. Two blue buttons on the shoulder straps adjust the length and elastic at both sides allow for easy dressing. The needlecord dungarees also have a generous pocket on the front bib, with another pocket on the back. Generous turn-ups, meanwhile, help extend wear. The dungarees are available in sizes from newborn to 10 years.

The matching World Bryher top is a turquoise blue organic cotton long sleeve top for babies and children. It features a Babipur World print showing a little red elephant, rainbows, bees, mountains, campfires and a campervan. Soft and stretchy with a hint of elastane, this long sleeve top coordinates with the Libby leggings. It also coordinates with the Bryher top for adults.

Commenting are Babipur’s co-founders, Peter and Jolene Barton.

“We are proud to have worked with Frugi for the last 14 years and even more thrilled about this recent collaboration. We love seeing our customers get excited about the designs, the prints and the ethos. Sustainable fashion is making headway within the industry but it’s important to remember there’s a long way to go. Thanks to all the Frugi team who made it happen.”

Frugi’s European Business Director, Simon Dowling, adds; “We have had a great time developing this exclusive capsule together with the incredible team at Babipur who demand the highest ethical standards from their suppliers and brands. It is testament to the strength of our responsible approach here at Frugi that has given us the opportunity to develop this exclusive capsule with one of our strongest trade partners. The range is cute, colourful, and our values are aligned in the belief that great ethics and passionate people can change the world.”
