Three Kite Kids in colourful clothes

Leading childrenswear brand Kite Clothing has launched its a/w 20 collection under the theme ‘Better Together’.

Drawing on the relationships that underpin the world we live in, Kite’s inspiration includes stories of friendships, animals in their natural environments and the wonder of space exploration.

The result is an abundance of imagery and colours, from hedgerows and hedgehogs through to planets, polar pals and fairy tale endings.

What’s new?

This season Kite has developed its outerwear range and for the first time is offering an option for babies from newborn up to 2 years. Features of the brand-new mini Country Coat include a useful removable hat with ears.

For older children, Kite is also offering the Country Coat from 9 months through to 11 years; with both of the garments using ultra-sonic quilting to provide a lightweight yet cosy option.

Following on from the success of its Rainbow Poncho, the brand is launching a version for younger children age 0 to 5 years. The practical new Bobble Poncho, which comes in a mustard shade, can be layered over many items.

For winter, Kite has also developed a new range using its ‘velvety’ fabric. Offering softness alongside a smart look, it is ideal for special occasions. With styles available for babies through to older children, this new fabric offers even greater depth to the Kite range.

Furthermore, AW20 sees Kite team up with Royal Museums Greenwich to create a new range of styles.

Offering designs across all ages, the range is inspired by some of Royal Museums Greenwich’s attractions. These include The Royal Observatory, The Cutty Sark, The National Maritime Museum and The Queen’s House.

Commenting on the new Better Together collection is Kite’s product director, Jo Spragg. “I’ve loved developing the a/w 20 collection inspired by this fantastic theme. I’m a great believer in the whole ‘being greater than the sum of its parts’ and in relationships building strength; the designs we’ve created are a result of this passion.

“As a self-confessed facts nerd, I’m also delighted with the brand-new Royal Museums Greenwich collection, with a fascinating backstory to every design. All in all, it’s a season I’m very proud of.”
