Four children wearing Blade & Rose knitted leggings

Award-winning British childrenswear brand Blade & Rose is celebrating a decade of business this month. To mark the milestone, the brand is hosting a range of exclusive offers and competitions throughout May.

Blade & Rose was born in May 2010 when Founder Amanda Peffer began designing and developing her first range of knitted leggings; each with its own unique and trendy design on the bottom.

Whilst on maternity leave she struggled to find leggings that were durable, functional, would wash well, and most importantly, that were soft and kind to her baby’s skin. So, she set about designing her own.

Inspired by their children Harvey Blade and Issey Rose, the Blade & Rose business started in Amanda and husband Jon’s front room. After three prototypes they found a product they were happy with and launched their first three designs; Cupcake, Strawberry and Daisy.

For the next five years, the collection became increasingly popular.

The brand has since expanded from its range of iconic knitted leggings to include coordinating tops, footwear and also accessories. In the following years, it has won several prestigious awards including Junior Design Awards and Loved by Parents. Also, Made for Mums and a Gift Of The Year Award.

Furthermore, in 2018 Blade & Rose collaborated with WWF UK. Within a year it raised £11,000 for the charity through the sale of its exclusive WWF UK Collection.

The brand continues to grow and is now available worldwide. It has stockists in 33 countries including Germany, Switzerland, France, Spain, Belgium, Italy and the Netherlands. Also, Greece, Japan, China, Taiwan, UAE, New Zealand, Australia and the USA.
