The Board at True and staff of Frugi, the ethical and sustainable childrenswear and accessories brand, have appointed Sarah Clark as CEO. Replacing Hugo Adams, Clark will be relocating to work at the Frugi headquarters in Helston, Cornwall.

Clark brings a wealth of experience to the role, working with leading global brands and omnichannel businesses at a local, regional and global level across Europe, the USA and Asia Pacific.

Sarah Clark officially starts her role at Frugi on 1 March 2021.

For 14 years, Clark worked with Procter and Gamble overseeing its beauty-care businesses before moving to cycling brand Rapha for five years. There she was appointed CMO and then CCO. During her tenure, Rapha was sold to the Walton family of Walmart for record-breaking multiples of EBITDA.

Latterly she has been CCO of luxury British furniture brand OKA founded by David Cameron’s mother-in-law, Lady Annabel Astor. The business was sold to Investindustrial group in 2018. At OKA, Clark has been spearheading the evolution of the brand, the digitisation of the business and the international expansion plans.

Commenting on Clark’s appointment is Frugi’s chair, Julia Reynolds. “The Board is delighted to be working with such a high calibre individual as Sarah, who is joining the business at a time of fast growth. The business has ambitious plans. With Sarah at the helm, we are confident that the business will go from strength to strength.”
