Frugi, the UK’s leading organic childrenswear and lifestyle brand, has appointed Steve Lucas as global sales director.

Lucas, who joined Frugi on 20 January 2020, has worked in a wide variety of senior leadership positions. His previous roles span sales, marketing, retail and digital, both UK and international. He has also worked with various premium brands including Speedo, Lacoste, Walt Disney and Haagen-Dazs.

Lucas brings a strong track record in international expansion and premium brand building to his new role at Frugi. This is in addition to market development through working in partnership with key customers and distributors globally.

Lucas’s last position was at Breast Cancer Care leading the charity’s fundraising, partnerships, marketing and communications strategy.

“I’m delighted and excited to have joined this amazing team, brand and business, and at such an interesting and important time in the Frugi journey,” says Steve Lucas.

“I’m looking forward to building on Frugi’s success to date and continuing to develop the Frugi brand and business globally.”

In further leadership changes, commercial director Simon Dowling will move into a wholesale director role. This will see him focus on growing Frugi’s wholesale business as well as continuing to lead the team of BDM’s and driving day-to-day sales activities.
