S/s 23 sees the launch of Il Gufo Atelier, a capsule collection featuring ceremonial garments using fine fabrics in stylishly romantic ways. This collection for girls comprises 10 dresses and two matching coats as well as a selection of sophisticated accessories.

The dresses, which vary in volume and length, aim to satisfy the needs and tastes of girls aged 4-14 years. However, some styles go up to age 16 for a more teen-oriented fit. Silk organza, linen shantung, mikado, tulle, lace and cady join details including hand-cut scalloped hems to create refined looks.

Clean, straight lines, sleeves with detailing and ruffles, and loose-fitting skirts with layers of tulle fabric are combined with minimalist colour; white is the star of the show. This shade, which varies slightly in tone depending on the fabric, is punctuated by touches of pastel. Details, meanwhile, include a belt that draws attention to the waistline of the linen shantung and tulle dresses.

Each dress takes the name of a flower chosen to emphasise the originality of the piece.

Stand-out styles include a short-sleeved mikado dress with an A-line silhouette and geometric design. Plus, a romantic cotton lace dress with a wide skirt and V-neckline at the back to provide a three-dimensional touch. Also key is a silk organza dress with an overlapping two-layered effect and frilly armholes. Accentuating the waistline is a small belt with a large bow at the back.

Essential for completing the overall look, accessories embody the heritage of the brand. Highlights include linen or lace handbags; headbands and hairbands embellished with organza and cady camellias; and a light lace stole to wear crossbody or over the shoulders.

Each dress also comes with a cotton garment bag. The collection will be available worldwide in Il Gufo stores, selected retailers, and online from late 2022.
