Glasgow-based childrenswear business Picture Book Fashion has formed an official partnership with Scottish social care charity, Quarriers. Picture Book Fashion started donating to Quarriers in 2018. It selected the local charity for its work supporting children not only within the community but also across Scotland.
The company supports the charity by donating clothes to children at the end of every year. Due to Picture Book Fashion’s brands ranging from 6 months up to 14 years, donations have benefited a wide age range; especially around Christmas time.
The childrenswear firm is now cementing its support by becoming an official partner.
Commenting on the development is Picture Book Fashion’s director, Andrew Molloy. “We decided to become a partner as we were keen to continue to support Quarriers through our donations. We also wanted to see if there was anything more we could do as a company to help the charity.
“With Picture Book Fashion being a family run business in Glasgow, it’s really important to us to support local children and families. Forming an official partnership with Quarriers seemed like the best way for us to help the community.”
Quarriers is announcing the partnership on 17 July.
In its new role as an official partner, Picture Book Fashion will be upping its donations from once a year to once a season. This means more brand-new clothes for children who are supported by Quarriers across Scotland. Quarriers also holds multiple events, which Picture Book Fashion will be getting involved in next year.
Molloy continues; “One thing we’re really keen to help out with is Quarriers’ Summer Appeal. This supports over 900 children and young people across Scotland to have memorable days out and experiences. Sponsoring a day to the beach or another fun day out is something we’re really looking forward to getting involved in.”
