Organic baby and children’s clothing brand, Toby Tiger, is joining forces with SuperLooper, a baby clothing rent and recycle service. The partnership will see the brand take outgrown items and make sure they are “loved and looped” by many other families.

To reward customers for keeping their clothes out of landfill, Toby Tiger will send them a voucher for any of the outgrown pieces they return. These vouchers can then be used to get money off another Toby Tiger purchase.

How the Toby Tiger Return & Earn scheme works

Using the Freepost service, customers simply send their item(s) in the post to be checked and graded. Grading will determine the value of the discount voucher to redeem on their next Toby Tiger purchase. The clothing item/s are then added to the SuperLooper library. If they have been loved a little too long, they will be up-cycled or sent to be re-cycled.

The value of a voucher depends on the quality of the pieces

A ‘SuperLoopable’ item is either in ‘like new’ or very good condition. A ‘Loopable’ item may be a little more worn, but still in good wearable condition. The scheme doesn’t cover items that are no longer wearable. Overly worn items can instead be recycled at a local clothing/textile recycling bin. However, for any items that don’t quite make the cut, Toby Tiger we will add a token of £1 to a customer’s voucher.

Why rental?

Toby Tiger views renting as a win:win for everyone. Customers get rewarded for taking the time to do their bit and return outgrown clothes. Toby Tiger, meanwhile, gets direct feedback about how their clothes are performing and can offer more items for SuperLooping families to rent.
