Child holding a leaf wearing Kidunk eco range

The signature range of all-weather protective gear by childrenswear brand Kidunk is relaunching in a next-generation eco fabric. This cutting-edge fabric makes the most of 2021 technology and is made entirely from recycled plastic bottles.

A recycling facility cleans and shreds the bottles into plastic pellets. These plastic pellets are spun into a yarn, which is then woven into the durable, comfortable fabric for Kidunk’s eco gear. The materials are also eco-certified.

The smart eco fabric is 100% breathable and coated with Teflon EcoElite™ – a plant-based water repellent.

Available in three colourways – Forest, Ink and Plum – each Kidunk set consists of a hooded top and zip-on trousers. Furthermore, Kidunk’s tops and trousers have zips that attach the garments together to make an all-in-one. Other design features include durable twin needle seams and reinforced knees as well as fleece lining.

Alongside the eco range, Kidunk is also launching a partnership with 1% for the Planet.

This means that through direct giving, Kidunk is taking responsibility for its environmental legacy and making its money matter by putting it to work in the hands of approved non-profit partners. The partnership will also support the brand’s passion for protecting the environment.

Kidunk promotes using technology and design to support kids being kids in the great outdoors.

For this reason, the brand has several industry awards. It is also working in partnership with organizations such as The Outdoor Guide and Caudwell Lyme Charity Co. Plus, Kidunk kits are available in Forestry England and The Lake District National Park sites.

Kidunk gear is popular with families at home as well as nurseries, forest schools and childcare centres across the UK, Scandinavia and Asia. For further information on Kidunk, please click here. For wholesale enquiries contact phillknight@kidunk.com.
